Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

Deliver P&L for the Ethnic Wear concept through product planning, product presentation and productivity across all stores

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Planning and Performance (Pvt. Label)
Identify and assess the available market opportunity for new and existing categories, markets and brands (quantitative and qualitative)
Plan, finalize and drive the sales, margin and inventory for the concept
Understand the trends prevailing in the international market and customize the same to suit the needs of the domestic market
Ensure procurement of right product (relative to competition) is done
Review the product range and pricing strategy of respective brands
Ensure deliveries are on time and aligned to the financial norms
Track sales performance for brands and take required action
Ensure range presentation is submitted to the concerned stakeholders at defined period
Ensure buying is done as per OTB and availability of stocks at the store at any given point of time
Review gap analysis post launch and make appropriate corrections
Regularly collect and analyze product feedback during store visits and sell through reports
Analyze product feedback and take required actions to address the feedback
Monitor the ageing of stock with reference to overall stock holding as per defined norms
Understand competition in terms of product offering, business performance, promotions and offers and take actions if required.

Product Planning and Performance (Brands)

Identify and quantify the available market opportunity
Align buy with planning to finalize the sales, margin and inventory for the Concept
Analyze the trends prevailing in the international market on latest trends
Plan the product range and pricing strategy based on desired positioning to optimally tap the opportunity
Final range sign off
Ensure timely delivery and availability of stocks at the store
Manage Sell thru tracking and initiate necessary action to optimize the sell thru within the season
Perform gap analysis post launch and make appropriate corrections
Regularly collect and analyze product feedback during store visits
Manage strategic space planning to ensure the SPF and MPF for the department is in line with concept performance

Product Presentation
Ensure timely implementation of the planograms
Define the guidelines for right presentation of the product in the stores
Work with the marketing team for photo campaigns to ensure the next season trends and style are well captured and presented

Brands management

Build long term relationships with brand partners by understanding their strategy, positioning, scalability and relevance
Manage Brand relationships. Negotiate terms of trade with new brands and regularly review performance of existing brands for corrective action

Vendor management

Build long term relationships with business partners by understanding their scalability and relevance (quality, price and strengths)
Maintain vendor relationships. Regularly review performance of existing vendors for corrective actions every season

People Management

Provide direction, set expectations and align the team to the department goals
Select the right people, motivate and review performance to continuously enhance performance
Guide, train and coach people for individual development
